ExoSci Debuts Coral Wetlab Concept at ISDC 2026 Moon Symposium
ExoSci participated in the “Moon Symposium” during the National Space Society’s annual International Space Development Conference (ISDC) on June 7, 2026.
ExoSci Founder and Principal Ecologist John E. Parks presented the paper “Lunar Coral Propagation: Wetlabs as a Staging Platform for Mars Settlement and Terraforming.” The presentation outlined the use of resilient coral species and controlled aquatic systems as foundational bioware for closed-loop life support, oxygen production, nutrient cycling, and radiation shielding in future lunar and Mars habitats.
This marked the public launch of ExoSci and represented the first public introduction of the coral wetlab concept for offworld applications.
